Dad Yazd Hotel, the only four-star hotel in Yazd province located within the historic fabric of the city, is a unique example of a classic hotel with an Iranian-Yazdi style. The hotel is situated near some of Yazd’s most famous historical landmarks, including the Zoroastrian Fire Temple, Jameh Mosque, Water Museum, Alexander Prison, Amir Chakhmaq Complex, and the historic Fahadan neighborhood.
Dad Hotel features 88 rooms designed in a traditional style with modern amenities. The building was originally established in 1928 (1307 in the Iranian calendar) as Dad Freight Company by the self-made entrepreneur Haj Abdolkhalegh Dad, serving as a guesthouse and freight transport facility until 1993 (1372). Restoration and renovation of the complex began in 2001 (1380) and it officially opened as a four-star hotel in 2007 (1386).
Some of the hotel’s amenities include two restaurants, a coffee shop, a café gallery, a water complex, free internet, taxi service, a handicraft shop, and a travel agency for organizing various tours.
